Hanina Brandes is one of the firm's founding partners, and is located in the Tel-Aviv office. He heads the firm’s corporate law and high-tech practice.

Mr. Brandes has particular expertise in sophisticated international commercial transactions and complex high-tech issues. He initiated the firm’s involvement in the field of high-tech long before this field became central to Israel’s economy, and today the firm enjoys a worldwide reputation for its corporate and high-tech practice. Mr. Brandes has advised on some of Israel’s largest and most complex international commercial transactions. His clients include Israel’s leading public and private companies. Mr. Brandes also advises various government agencies and governmental companies.

Mr. Brandes serves as the chairman of the High-tech committee of the Israel Bar Association, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Tel-Aviv University, and as a member of both the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art. 

Mr. Brandes also served as a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Exemptions Committee established pursuant to Israel’s Restrictive Trade Practices Law between December 1999 and December 2008 (the maximum period allowed by law).

Born in Haifa, Israel, Mr. Brandes received an LL.B. from Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1963. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Brandes is fluent in Hebrew and English.
